Jessica Faller is an artist and freelance photo retoucher.
Classically trained in oil painting, she recieved a degree in fine art from Savannah College of Art and Design before moving to New York City in 2007.
In 2009, after photographing what would be used as painting reference for a new body of work, she discovered a surprising aptness in Photoshop and digital manipulation. Realizing the opportunity to learn a new trade, she then spent the summer teaching herself how to retouch, and by fall, was able to use the manipulated images to land a paid internship at Droga5 ad agency.
After Droga5, Jessica was hired by Impact Digital retouching house, where she quickly gained ranks. Nine months later, she was asked to be senior retoucher to world renowned photographer, Norman Jean Roy, a position she would hold for a year and a half before leaving to freelance and re-incorporate art back into her work.
Jessica has been freelance retouching since 2012, and in 2016, she left New York for California. Now residing in Los Angeles, she continues to retouch as well as feed her passion to create. Jessica's painting studio is located in the downtown fashion district where she is currently working on a new series.
